Trauma & Stabilization Support Services
The Black Canadian Child and Family Services Society (BCCFSS) provides culturally responsive Trauma & Stabilization Support Services to support Black children, youth, and families navigating crisis, violence, or significant life disruptions.
Our services are trauma-informed and dignity-centered, with a focus on safety, emotional stabilization, and coordinated care. We work collaboratively with families to reduce immediate risk, strengthen protective factors, and connect individuals to appropriate community, legal, and mental health resources.
Through Trauma & Stabilization Support Services, families may access:
• Emotional support and crisis intervention
• Safety planning and immediate stabilization support
• Referrals to counselling and mental health services
• Guidance navigating legal, educational, and community systems
• Advocacy to address systemic barriers and inequities
We understand that healing requires both practical intervention and culturally affirming care. Our approach centers protection, empowerment, and long-term resilience, ensuring families are supported with respect, cultural awareness, and without stigma.
