Who We’re Looking For

​​

We are seeking experienced, qualified professionals who demonstrate the capacity, commitment, and professionalism required to provide high-quality home child care.

Preferred applicants include individuals with backgrounds in:

​

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE)

  • Child and Youth Work (CYW)

  • Child and Family Services or related fields

Providers must:

  • Have demonstrated experience working with children in a professional or structured setting

  • Show a strong commitment to providing safe, reliable, and consistent care

  • Maintain a stable, secure, and welcoming home environment at all times

  • Be organized, responsible, and capable of managing the daily demands of caring for children

  • Communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with families and the agency

  • Follow all agency policies, procedures, and provincial requirements without exception

  • Be committed to ongoing learning, training, and continuous professional development

  • Provide care that is responsive, respectful, and supportive of each child’s development and well-being

We are seeking individuals who take this role seriously and are committed to delivering a high standard of care.

Your Role as a Provider

​

Home Child Care Providers are responsible for:

  • Providing care for children within their home

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment

  • Establishing daily routines that support children’s development

  • Communicating with families and the agency

  • Following all agency policies and provincial requirements

​

This role requires commitment, consistency, and a genuine interest in supporting children.

​

Resources and Materials Provided

At BCCFSS, we are committed to ensuring that providers are equipped with the resources needed to deliver high-quality care.

As part of our support, providers may receive:

  • Age-appropriate toys and learning materials

  • Child care furniture and equipment, where applicable

  • Program resources to support daily routines and activities

  • Guidance on setting up a safe, functional, and developmentally appropriate environment

All materials and equipment are provided based on program needs and in alignment with agency standards.

​

Our goal is to ensure that providers have the tools required to create engaging, safe, and well-structured environments for children.

Getting Started

​

Our process is clear and structured to ensure the right fit for both providers and families:

  1. Submit an application

  2. Complete initial screening

  3. Participate in an interview

  4. Home assessment and safety review

  5. Complete required training and documentation

  6. Approval and placement
